Guest Self-Care Requirements

As Shearwater lodge is unable to provide 24hr care, all guests residing at Shearwater Lodge must have the ability to self-care; the ability to undertake the activities of daily living without assistance or have the assistance of a responsible carer.

Arrival & Departure

The office is staffed between 8.30 am & 4.00 pm weekdays. For out of hours and weekend arrivals please contact (02) 6652 8001 and arrangements will be made for the collection of a key.


Designated parking is available for the exclusive use of patients while residing at Shearwater Lodge.


No responsibility can be taken for the loss of/or damage to any residents’ property.


Smoking is strictly forbidden in all areas of the Lodge including the grounds.


The Pink Lady’s offer a free buggy service between the Lodge and the Radiotherapy Unit on request.

Local bus companies operate daily. A public bus stop is located at the entrance of the Coffs Harbour Base Hospital.

Treatment is available within walking distance of Shearwater Lodge.
